Bluedog has been a New York-style piano bar on West George Street since 2003. Live music runs Tuesday to Sunday: jazzy piano through the evening, blues and smooth lounge as the night settles in. There is no cover charge. Some nights are quiet and close, others build into something. On a Friday or Saturday it is worth arriving early to catch the player and a good seat.
Keys first, always.
Piano leads. Around it, a rotating cast of players bring jazz, blues and lounge to the room. Music made for the space it is in, never background and never a gig you have to queue for.
Early drinks, late music.
Come for an after-work cocktail and stay for the set, or roll in late and find the room in full swing. Tuesday to Sunday, till 3am.
